Shenzhen Autonomous Unmanned System and Intelligent Operation Joint Laboratory (AUSIM Lab) was officially established by the Shenzhen Municipal Committee in July 2021. The existing laboratory covers an area of about 300 square metres and has a self-developed all-terrain autonomous mobile platform, an intelligent operation and autonomous assembly experimental platform, a visual autonomous flight experimental platform, a cluster robot experimental platform, a wave energy cluster power generation prototype experimental platform, and other experimental platforms, as well as large instruments and equipment such as the Optitrack motion capture system, the UR5 six-degree-of-freedom robotic arm, an autonomous quadruped robot, a Speedgoat rapid development prototype, etc., with fixed assets of about 8 million Yuan.

The laboratory (AUSIM Lab) is composed of: (1) Swarm cooperative navigation technology; and autonomous unmanned systems. Cooperative decision-making control theory and technology of swarm autonomous and unmanned systems; (2) intelligent and dexterous control technology and collaborative robot systems; the specific research contents include robots' cognitive learning and skill training of human complex skills; intelligent planning; and compliance of robots in unstructured environments. Manipulation technology, robot collaborative delivery, and collaborative assembly control technology.

The laboratory (AUSIM Lab) takes the autonomous and safe navigation of unmanned systems in complex space environments and the dexterous and intelligent operation of robots for complex assembly tasks as its scientific research orientation, aiming to solve the problems of swarm collaborative navigation technology, autonomous unmanned systems, intelligent and dexterous control technology, and collaboration. The key scientific and technological issues of the robot system will promote the rapid development of autonomous unmanned systems and build a scientific research team of "Technology Integration Industry-University-Research-Application", Shenzhen Science and Technology Integration Industry, and the National Defense Science and Technology Research Platform.
