Introduction to the Institute

The Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Equipment, relying on the School of Mechatronics and Control Engineering of Shenzhen University, is guided by "Made in China 2025" and Shenzhen's robot and advanced manufacturing development strategy and conducts in-depth research and development of theories and applications related to robots and intelligent equipment. Industrial innovation research has obtained a series of innovative achievements, such as robotic systems and intelligent equipment. The research direction covers service, industrial, high-speed, micro-nano, and other robots, as well as the research and development of related intelligent equipment. World-renowned robotics scholars and famous experts in the robotics industry serve as honorary directors and honorary consultants, and domestic academicians in the field of robotics, including senior experts such as Changjiang and Jieqing, serve as members of the academic committee, leading the institute to become a first-class research institute in the field. The director of the institute is Pan Jianfei, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the deputy director is Guo Dengji, assistant dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The Institute currently has 13 researchers, adhering to the concept of resource and personnel integration and supporting the scientific research and teaching work of robot-related disciplines. The Institute strongly promotes the development of interdisciplinary subjects, enhances the overall scientific research capabilities of colleges and schools, and contributes to the discipline development and status of colleges and schools.
