Introduction to Institute of Automation, Shenzhen University

The Institute of Automation of Shenzhen University is headed by Professor Cao Guangzhong, who is in charge of the control discipline, and academician Qian Qingquan is the director of the laboratory's academic committee. It was officially approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Government in August 2013. The current area is about 300 square meters; it has the dSPACE rapid control platform, dynamic signal analyzer, EEG event-related potential analysis system, power analyzer, motor comprehensive parameter test platform, electromagnetic measurement platform, sensor information comprehensive test and measurement system, laser vibrometer, vibration and noise signal test platform, and a batch of instruments and equipment such as the degree of freedom robot, image acquisition and processing platform, etc., with fixed assets of nearly 10 million Yuan.

Research directions include: 1) Intelligent control theory and application; 2) Motor and magnetic levitation system design, drive, and control; 3) Machine vision inspection; 4) Internet of Things big data analysis; 5) Robot control technology; 6) Fault prediction and health management Focusing on the development needs of automation, robotics, the Internet of Things, new energy, and other science and technology, we will carry out cutting-edge theoretical and applied research, aiming to play a strategic role in supporting the continuous progress of control science and engineering, intelligent manufacturing, and other disciplines and becoming Shenzhen, a domestic first-class and internationally influential high-level research base and talent training base in the fields of advanced intelligent equipment and the Internet of Things.

At present, a high-level scientific research team has been formed. At present, there are more than 20 full-time scientific research personnel, including 4 professors, 7 associate professors, 14 personnel with doctoral degrees, and 15 people with overseas study experience. "Thousand Hundred Ten" talents in universities in Guangdong Province, local leading talents in Shenzhen, Peacock There are 6 planned talents and more than 100 doctoral and master students. Extensive cooperation and exchanges with domestic and foreign The laboratory is a joint laboratory of TI Company in the United States, a joint laboratory of Microchip (Atmel) in the United States, and a joint laboratory of Shenzhen Chuangke Vision. It has established scientific research cooperation with many well-known universities and institutions in the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and other places. In special motors and magnetic levitation control systems, intelligent algorithms and their modelling applications, visual inspection of product defects, industrial equipment and container Internet of Things, industrial big data analysis, welding and other industrial robots, rehabilitation medical robots, and fault prediction of industrial automation equipment Research on health management and other aspects has shown unique advantages, and cooperation with Shenzhen's industrial circles has been fruitful.

The characteristics of postgraduate training are remarkable. The postgraduate training base "Shenzhen University-CIMC Group/CIMC Intelligent" cooperating with CIMC is a national exemplary joint training base for graduate students with engineering degrees and a demonstration base for joint training postgraduates in Guangdong Province.
