Good News|Historic Breakthrough! CMCE Secures 19 NSFC Grants in 2026

The first batch of 2026 funding results from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) was recently announced. The College of Mechatronics and Control Engineering achieved a major research milestone, securing 19 funded projects in this round, a record high for both the number and quality of awards.

The funded projects include nine General Program grants, nine Young Scientists Fund (C) grants, and one Research Fund for International Scientists (RFIS) grant; only nine RFIS grants were awarded across Shenzhen University. Compared with 2025, the College's total number of funded projects increased by 111%, more than doubling year on year. General Program grants increased by 28.6%, while the number of Young Scientists Fund (C) grants rose by seven, reflecting strong results from the College's research development efforts. Notably, this is the first time the College has secured an RFIS grant, marking a breakthrough in this category. Congratulations to all faculty members who received funding.
