1. Training objectives

This program aims to foster comprehensive development of knowledge, skills, and personal qualities in the field of automation. Graduates will have a strong grasp of the fundamental theories, core knowledge, and professional skills needed for motion control, process control, manufacturing system automation, and industrial automation applications. They will be well-prepared for careers in engineering design, technology development, system operation management and maintenance, enterprise management and decision-making, scientific research, teaching, and other related fields. This program is designed to produce versatile, high-caliber, and skilled automation engineering professionals.

2. Training Requirements

Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and basic knowledge in the field of automation, receive basic training in basic methods in the field of automation and solve practical engineering problems, and have the basic ability in automation engineering design and research. Graduates should acquire knowledge and abilities in the following areas:

1. Have strong humanistic quality, social service awareness and sense of responsibility, have high moral cultivation and abide by academic ethics, and guarantee professional integrity.

2. Acquire proficiency in the natural sciences, including mathematics and physics, necessary for pursuing a career in automation. Additionally, obtain foundational technical knowledge in electronics, computers, and communications, while also developing a basic understanding of humanities and sociology, such as engineering economy, technology management, law, and environmental protection.

3. Master the basic principles of "information, control and system" in this major, master the basic methods of information processing and the basic principles of optimal design, and understand the frontier and development trends in the field of automation.

4. Acquire expertise in the fundamental techniques of analyzing and designing engineering control systems, and possess the proficiency to effectively address common control system issues in practical engineering settings. Develop foundational skills to autonomously undertake the operation, administration, and upkeep of control systems in engineering practice.

5. Have the basic ability to analyze, improve, optimize, and design the technology in the automation system or product.

6. Have the capability to possess the awareness of innovation and the preliminary ability to research, develop and design new automation products, new processes, new technologies, and new equipment.

7. Understand the technical standards in the professional field of automation and the regulations of related industries.

8. Have the ability to adapt to development and the correct understanding, and learning ability of lifelong learning.

9. Must have strong communication skills, environmental adaptability, and teamwork skills

10. Possess a certain international perspective, master at least one foreign language, be proficient in reading foreign language literature in this major and be able to be communicated in a cross-cultural environment.
