Recently, Elsevier released the 2025 list of “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”. According to the list, 43 scholars from our university were selected, including Associate Professor Wang Huaizhi from our college. This marks the second consecutive year that Associate Professor Wang Huaizhi has been honored with this distinction. Warm congratulations to Associate Professor Wang Huaizhi!
Wang Huaizhi, Associate Professor, received his PhD from South China University of Technology in 2015 and is a Shenzhen Peacock Plan overseas talent. His main research directions are robotics and intelligent connected systems, including automatic control, multi-sensor fusion, and power information fusion systems. He has published 115 papers, including 57 SCI papers and 7 ESI Highly Cited Papers. In the past five years, he has led 7 projects, including 2 from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth + General), 2 at provincial/ministerial level, with a total funding of CNY 4.93 million. He has been granted 4 national invention patents. Continuously listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists for “Annual Scientific Impact” from 2022 to 2025, and included in the “Lifetime Scientific Impact” list in 2025. Selected for the Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list in 2024 and 2025. Received the Second Prize of Guangdong Natural Science Award in 2024 and the First Prize of the China Association of Inventions Innovation Award (Entrepreneurship Category). Google Scholar citations exceed 7,000, with an H-index of 33. Serves as Associate Editor for TOP SCI journals in their categories, including Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems and Information Processing in Agriculture, and as Youth Editorial Board Member for journals such as Power System Protection and Control. Awarded “Outstanding Master’s Supervisor at Shenzhen University”. Served as an expert on the Guangdong Academic Committee for Confronting Technical Barriers to Trade; chaired the IEEE PES ISGT subcommittee; received Best Paper Awards at international conferences including IEEE PowerCon 2018 Guangzhou and IET APSCOM 2018 Hong Kong.
