College of Mechatronics and Control Engineering sent 2 undergraduates for PolyU International Summer School 2023

College of Mechatronics and Control Engineering (CMCE) has been long built relationship with Hong Kong Polytechnic University on cultivation, research collaboration and cultural activities, by holding types of undergraduate exchange programs and joint PhD programs. In 2023, 6 undergraduate students from CMCE are so far sent to the PolyU exchange programs, in respective of Spring Program, Summer School and Autumn Program. The students are now studying at the subjects respectively of Mechanical Design Manufacturing and Automation, Robotic Engineering, and Automation. In the exchange programs, courses are all available for students not only in the department of Mechanical Engineering but also in other departments. The exchange students will get a transcript letter after achieving all the course credits, to apply for the credit transfer when back to Shenzhen University.

CMCE delivers a recruit announcement when the PolyU exchange programs are open, and then elite students will be selected for the program. In this July, 2 undergraduate students YU zhi-min and LIU Zi-ni went to the program for PolyU Summer School. The program involved courses from various specialty fields and cultural perspectives, such as Chinese Language, Design and Technology, Enterprise Development, Leadership Training and so on. As the program members were from a list of worldwide renowned universities, the courses as well as teamwork were held in English. The program also offered student with some interesting creation projects in workshop which needed rich teamwork and discussion. Besides, local sightseeing was organized for international students to get knowledges about life, culture, and history in Hong Kong and even in China. Both of our students YU Zhi-min and LIU Zi-ni showed their gratitude of their experience at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, harvesting lots of international friends, and furtherly opening eyes towards their futural career.
